Class Z (Air Brake Endorsement)
Program Relevance
This Ministry of Transportation approved course is essential for anyone wanting to operate a commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes. Students are taught skills in order to comply with Ontario's air brake legislation and to further understand what conditions would cause an air brake equipped vehicle to be placed out of service. Students will be taught how a modern air brake system works as well as the importance of having a well-balanced and maintained system to optimize braking performance. The course will also focus on understanding how to properly inspect and test a modern air brake system, ensuring that students can identify, report and initiate the steps necessary for repairs to be made.
● Applicants must have an Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence or higher to take this course. Taking this course with us eliminates the need to do the written and practical air brake testing at the Drive Test centre.
Please Note: The above program does not require approval under the Ontario Career College Act 2005.

- OSL Air Brake Endorsement Manual
- Minimum 12 hours of in-class instruction
- Two attempts of a Written Test
- Two attempts of a Practical Test
- Air Brake Endorsement Certificate once both Written and Practical Test results are successful
